About

1/1/18

I had a lot of fun making and repairing stuff last year. Some of it did not make it on the this blog, Im still trying to get into the habit of taking pictures and blogging. We also have a few other blogs that are related to other topics (links on the right side).
Finished the Garage roof last year, this year I will tackle the car port and maybe get around to staining the back fence, but don't hold your breath on staining the fence part.
Nothing really major planned for this blog at this point for 2018.

I have an interest in Fixing things. Anything from Cars to replacing a water heaters. Few weeks ago I replaced the upper control arms on my Dodge 3500. I have a few projects I'm working on now. One of which, is a 1980 Vespa that has trouble running.

Cutting down a dyeing tree down that was too close to
the house a few years ago.
I was an AMH in the Navy, 63H in the Texas Army Nation guard. Ive worked in Avitaion as a civilian. Ive worked as a mechanic for Ford, GM and Mitsubishi at different times. Ive been a Maintenance man (everything from welding, plumbing, electrical, sheet rock). Ive worked Computer Support and currently work on servers.

I use the internet like everyone else to look up ideas or how to do something.
I thought I would start a blog and document some of the things I repair around my house. I want to give back information I may have that could help someone else. Maybe another perspective on something you are researching.

I would also like to share research and get feed back on ideas. Like building a Camper Top for my truck, or finishing out a chicken coop. The list is pretty much endless.

We got hit with a bad hail storm last year. I put a new roof on my house (thats an old picture above). Kind of late to blog about roofing the house, but I may touch on the house roof some when I blog about putting a roof on the Garage this year. I need to get that done before  the temperatures get much higher. Roofing in the high 90's was not fun last year. My hats off to the guys that do that for a living.

I hope you check back from time to time and comment. Comments will help me stay motivated in blogging.
